The prize is a Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) Discovery Pass. The single winner will be selected from those who answer all questions correctly and provide their contact details. ISFAR will contact the winner directly after the Bastille Day French Festival finishes.

35th Anniversary Symposium of the Institute for the Study of French Australian Relations (ISFAR), online
As two neighbouring middle-powers in the Pacific, France and Australia share a fruitful and complex relationship, rooted in a long history of engagement at local, regional and global levels. The 35th anniversary of ISFAR provides an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of the study of that relationship over the last few decades. In a rapidly changing world, it is also an opportunity to discuss its future and, notably, the shift of focus to the study of French-Australian relations in the Indo-Pacific region.

ISFAR French Australian Dialogues presents a second seminar on New Caledonia (in collaboration with the Alliance Française de Sydney): The Referendum in New Caledonia: what is at stake? By November 2018 New Caledonia will hold a referendum on the future of this French overseas territory to decide whether it will remain with France or become independent. Two experts will explore the background to this crucial vote: the evolving role of France in the Pacific; the issues surrounding the vote, such as the constitution of the electorate; and the choices to be put.
